If you are meaning good old screwed galvanised water pipe, then  
dfeat
it is fine. It is used all the time in industrial installations.

Assuming it is equivalent to ASTM A-53 or better pipe and it is  
L.U.N.O
at least schedule 40, then it will be fine. Just be sure the fitting used

I say equivalent to A-53 because there is an ASTM number for galvanized

It would depend entirely on the thickness of your pipe and the  
Bugaboo
steel grade. Without these it is impossible to tell.

Is there friction with pressure of Water inside an Iron pipe, if yes, does that friction also generate heat?
